Frankenstein, James Bond, The Shock Jock, Marilyn Monroe’s ‘Beast,’, and the King, have all left the building and are on the road to your house.

Question: What do Boris Karloff, Sean Connery, Rodney Dangerfield, Howard Stern, Arthur Miller, Elvis Presley, and Barry Manilow have in common?
Answer: They all drove big delivery trucks.
Walt Disney applied, but his application was denied.
The point here is that truck drivers are a varied and talented lot, and can’t be put into any one category. If your driver was sent by Freight and Shipping, Inc., however, you can be assured that your freight, whether it be a full truckload or ltl, will be treated gently, transported swiftly, and arrive at its destination on time. If your driver sings as he loads or unloads, and drives, that’s just icing on the cake.
Freight and Shipping, Inc. is the Priceline of Shipping, and, just as William Shatner might say, you give us your requirements and we will fulfill them.
Oh, by the way, Shatner once drove a truck, too.
On this first Tuesday of 2007, we here at Freight and Shipping, Inc. would like to remind you that we offer you, our customers, the best and biggest discounts of any other shipping company, often up to 60% or more.
We want to be your shipping company of choice in 2007.
Just pick up the phone and call 1-877-618-6058, or click on the “Quick Quote” button at the top of this page, and a genuine human being will help you.
We are able to offer you the best shipping deals, period. We promise.

Got A Heavy Piano To Move? No Problem. Freight and Shipping, Inc. Can Do That For You, At A Discount Shipping Rate!

Back in the olden days, piano-moving was a tremendously big deal, and an enormous undertaking. Few people had access to a truck capable of taking on anything as heavy as a piano.
Besides, the logistics of getting the thing out of one building and into another was overwhelming!
Remember how, in those old black and white movies of the thirties and forties, the piano would be wrapped tightly in rope, and either raised or lowered (depending on whether it was coming or going) from a window, hiiiiigh up in the air, to the delight of spectators all up and down the street? Often, several windows on the way up (or down) were broken by the swinging piano, and just as often, the window of the apartment where the piano lived, or was going to live, had to be removed entirely.
Piano-moving was so difficult, sometimes a tenant just gave up and moved out without the piano, leaving it to the new tenant, sometimes to their delight and sometimes, not. In the novel A Tree Grows In Brooklyn, by Betty Smith, the little girl Francie is transported to heaven and back by the fact that the previous tenant wasn’t able to take the piano with her, and Francie got to have it.
Nowadays, of course, the previous tenant would just call Freight and Shipping, Inc. and that piano would be loaded and transported with no trouble at all.
If you have something large, heavy, or oddly-shaped, no matter how fragile it might be, Freight and Shipping, Inc. will get it to its destination with little or no exertion on your part. We know how to pack and ship a piano, or an organ, or a harpsichord, or any large musical instrument you could possibly think of. We’ve done it before and we’ll do it again, for you.
Whether you have a full truckload of furniture, or just a few pieces for LTL, Freight and Shipping, Inc. will find the perfect method of transportation for you.
Just pick up the phone and dial 1-877-618-6058, or click on the “Quick Quote” button at the top of the page, and helpful human beings will assist you.
Freight and Shipping, Inc. offers you bigger and better discounts than any other shipping company. We promise.

Your Freight Quote Stays Constant, Despite Rising Fuel Prices

Gas prices rose today, while I was standing in line to pay for the gas I’d just put in my car. Some shipping companies are raising their rates along with the rising gas prices. Sometimes, a customer will get a nasty surprise when the freight is delivered, because the original quote had not figured in the higher price of gasoline, and the quote changes unexpectedly.

At Freight and Shipping, Inc., you never have to worry about that. Gas prices are figured into your original quote, and that quote will not change even if the price of gas changes, midroute.

When you click on “Quick Quote” at the top of this page, and factor in all your information, we guarantee that Freight and Shipping, Inc. will give you the best quote in the market today. With Freight and Shipping, Inc. as your freight company, you can set your mind at ease, knowing that your freight is being handled by experts, people who know exactly what they’re doing because they’ve been doing it for a long time. Freight and Shipping, Inc. can offer you more discounts than any other shipping company, and our guarantees can not be equaled.

Whether you have a full truckload of freight, or have ltl to be shipped, Freight and Shipping, Inc. can fulfill all your shipping/transportation needs with just one phone call (1-877-618-6058), or just one click.

Remember, if you need to transport the contents of Grandma’s house from one side of the continent to the other, or just have those five old bicycles from Uncle Bill’s attic that need to get to Plymouth, Michigan by Thursday, Freight and Shipping, Inc. can give you the very best of all possible rates.

According to the Department of Energy, diesel fuel has fallen an average of 1.5 cents to 2.60 cents per gallon, and more in some areas, as of Monday, Dec. 18. This is good news for Freight and Shipping customers, because we not only pass along to them our many fantastic discounts (up to 60% over other freight companies!) but we also pass along this savings in gas prices. Your quote includes the price of gas, and when gas is low, your quote is lower, too.

You will not find a better deal for your freight and shipping needs, than with Freight and Shipping, Inc. Nobody else can touch our low, low prices, and our superb customer relations.

Freight and Shipping, Inc., wishes you and yours the very Merriest of Christmases. We thank you for using us as your holiday shipping company. We feel as though we’ve been a part of your Christmas, and we thank you for that, also.

We know what some of you are getting for Christmas.

Ebay Sellers “Quick Quote” On Auction Site and Get Positive Feedback

People who sell large, heavy, or odd-shaped merchandise on Ebay can offer their customers a quick and easy way to get a shipping quote: simply put the Freight and Shipping, Inc. “Quick Quote” on the auction site, and customers can find out what their shipping costs will be in just a few minutes.

On Ebay, it is often the cost of shipping that will be the deciding point for a buyer. Many Ebay sellers keep the shipping cost a secret, and give the buyer a total only after the bidding is done and the winner is notified. On a large, heavy, or odd-shaped item, that shipping cost is sometimes more than the cost of the item itself. Finding out the shipping cost AFTER winning an auction is sometimes quite a shock for the buyer, and often the customer will leave negative feedback for a seller who keeps the shipping a secret until it’s too late to back out of the auction.

Of course, Ebay sellers who offer their customers the Freight and Shipping, Inc. “Quick Quote” right there on the merchandise description, will always have satisfied customers, because, with just a simple click and a little information, the customer will know, in advance, how much the shipping will be. No secrets, with Freight and Shipping’s special and fantastic Ebay “Quick Quote.” Just a little code to put on the auction page, and customers will know that this is a seller who is honest about shipping costs. The customer will also know that the seller cares enough about the buyer to choose Freight and Shipping, Inc., because Freight and Shipping, Inc., always offers incredible discounts on shipping to all our customers. Sellers who use Freight and Shipping, Inc. are the sellers who genuinely want only the best for their customers.

Freight and Shipping, Inc. is on the road right now, all night, and all day and night tomorrow, helping Santa deliver all kinds of freight and packages for Christmas. We’ve got trucks full of Ebay winnings, complete household furnishings, and boxes of gifts, and we’re delivering all over the country.

Everyone who used Freight and Shipping, Inc, this holiday season, saved 60% or more over any other freight company’s offerings. Nobody can undersell us. We have access to so many carriers, we are able to pass along their discounts, as well as our own, to our customers. We are the Priceline of Shipping.

Shipping of Household Goods

As companies begin to do business globally, more and more employees are being asked to move to new locations all over the world. Many employees travel to and from the international locations, and many of them telecommute, but what happens when the company sends their employees to overseas locations permanently? What happens to all of their household goods? What about their vehicles, are they shipped as well as their other items?
There should be no reason why you can’t take that family heirloom rocking chair of Aunt Edith’s with you to your new home. Likewise, that classic car you have been restoring can be sent to your new home as well, and you can continue restoring efforts in its new home. All of these items can be sent via a cargo container or they may be shipped via a roll on/roll off cargo vessel. In most cases a container can be brought right to your door and the driver will wait until you have loaded and packed your cargo. Moving companies may also be used to pack up your items professionally.
We are experts at providing the logistics behind relocating all of your household items, including cars, boats, trucks, RV’s, and yes even that rocking chair. There are many rules and regulations that must be met when shipping items like these overseas. Let us help you find the best possible shipping prices that will deliver your items safely and securely to that new home abroad and let us make sure all items are shipped legally with the proper documentation. There is no reason you cannot enjoy the comforts of home anywhere in the world.

Tips for Shipping Your Motorcycle

Tips for Shipping Your Motorcycle:
It’s always a good safety precaution to drain your gas tank and remove your battery. You can also opt to crate your motorcycle at this point.
Wash your motorcycle even if it will be shipping on an open trailer. You want to be able to spot any chips, dings, nicks or other anomalies before shipment.
If your motorcycle has an alarm, disarm it before shipment.
Be sure to secure any loose parts and specialty items such as exhaust, saddle bags, tank bags, hard luggage, fairings and anything else that could get in the way during transport.
Make sure that your tires are properly inflated and that you don’t have any fluid leaks.
Have a specific list with any problems your motorcycle may have. You carrier will want to know of such things during the loading and unloading of your motorcycle.
To prevent disputes of possible damage during shipment, make a report of any existing damage prior to pickup. You may also want to take dated pictures of your motorcycle.

Freight Too Big For Highways

The Bureau of Transportation Statistics is forecasting that Freight and Shipping will increase by 70% in the year 2020. That may seem like a long time from now, but we do not have the roads or the resources to support that increase. According to the Orlando Business Journal in an article written by Kent Hoover he states:
“Manufacturers and large retailers like Wal-Mart, which operates a fleet of 8,000 trucks, depend on an efficient transportation system to keep their shelves stocked without having inventory gathering dust. But small businesses also depend on “just in time” deliveries.”
He goes on to report:
“Congestion, combined with rising fuel prices, caused transportation costs to jump a record 14 percent last year.
The trend toward leaner inventories also reversed itself, largely due to “longer and sometimes unpredictable delivery times,” says Rosalyn Wilson, a transportation consultant who wrote the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals’ annual State of Logistics Report.
“We face capacity constraints at virtually all major freight gateways, and congestion and bottlenecks throughout the system,” Wilson says. “It is no longer a question of if we will reach a crisis point, but when.”
Meanwhile, trucking companies are having trouble keeping up with increased demand. They can’t find enough truck drivers, especially for long-haul routes, says Christopher Lofgren, president and CEO of Schneider National Inc., a trucking company based in Green Bay, Wis. Plus, a 12.38 percent federal excise tax on new equipment creates a disincentive for expanding truck fleets, he says.”
The freight and shipping business today is working at max capacity and we need to prepare for the future. If nothing is done to increase our capacity for shipping we may find ourselves gridlocked without the ability to get good to the consumer.

Shipping info on Perishables

Many companies that sell perishables are enjoying the online marketing experience. Shipping perishables can be tricky but given a few guidelines to follow can save that shipment from harm.
Use Insulated Shipping Boxes - This is probably the most important part of shipping perishables. Using a quality insulated box is key to getting that perishable to its destination.
Use Quality Ice Packs - Using good quality ice packs or gel packs can make a difference when shipping perishables. If a container is left on the dock for a weekend, it can mean the difference of spoiled goods or fresh goods being delivered.
Use Plastic Bag Liners - Using a plastic bag liner will increase the effectiveness of your cool packaging. A delivery truck can get very hot in the back and a good plastic bag liner will make your container cooler. Whatever the heat is outside the box never should be the heat inside the box. Most boxes do not make an airtight seal.
Use the Perfect Box - Using a box that is too big means you will be having to cool more space. If your box is too big, you may be overworking that cooling agent.
Tightly Pack Boxes - Shifting items in your box may mean that your perishable will have an uncooled side or edge and that can spell disaster for your product.
Making sure your perishables arrive safely and in good condition can make the difference between a happy customer and a never use your company again customer.

Freight and Shipping With Common Carriers

“When do I use a common carrier?”
This is one of our more frequently asked questions. When using a common carrier it is usually for loads that weigh more heavily than standard shipments. Loads of 150 pounds or more are usually shipped with a common carrier rather than ordinary parcel services. Common carriers differ from private carriers that provide a sole company with their shipping. Private carriers can pick and choose their customers, whereas common carriers treat all of their customers equally. Common carriers may have a number of smaller shipments from many different customers which helps to reduce the price of the overall shipment. Everyone shares the price of transporting the truckload from point A to point B. This makes shipping more economical and provides the one time shipper or a shipper that does not have a fleet of trucks to compete with those businesses that operate on a larger scale. Usually a common carrier has a set route and schedule and the cost of the shipment is more predictable based on the customer’s needs and requirements. Common carriers do not usually cover damage to the items they carry and have no legal liability for the content of the shipment. Make sure asking about additional insurance is on your checklist. There are a number of common carriers to choose from and we can make sure you get the best price for your load. If you need a common carrier, come get a free shipping quote and let us handle the details.

Ten Steps for Preparing your Car for Shipping

Ten Steps for Preparing your Car for Shipping:
Wash your car thoroughly even if will be shipped on an open trailer. You want to be able to note any chips, dings, nicks or other cosmetic damage accurately.
Remove any personal items from your car.
Shut off and or disable the car alarm.
Don’t top off your gas tank, keep it low, in between 1/8th to 1/4th of a tank as this saves quite a bit of weight.
Make sure to secure or remove any loose parts or specialty items from your car such as ground effects, spoilers, fog lights.
If you have wide mirrors fold them back and lower and remove/retract the antennae if possible.
If possible, always ship convertibles with the top and secured properly. Try to seal any holes or open seams in the top to prevent air or moisture from causing damage. If you cannot raise the top, you should attempt to cover it with a secure fitting tarp that can resist high winds.
Make sure the battery is charged, that the tires have proper inflation and top off all of the fluids on the vehicle and let the driver know if there are ANY leaks. Cars leaking oil and especially brake or transmission fluid should NEVER be on the top of a two deck open trailer. This is to prevent leaks onto the paint of vehicles below.
Prepare a careful list of any operational problems or steps necessary to start, stop, or drive your vehicle on and off of the trailer.
Make a complete report of any pre-existing damage your vehicle may have. You may want to go as far as taking pictures (and dating them) of the vehicle prior to shipping it.

Eric Masters of freight and shipping

Freight & Shipping, Inc. is the brainchild of Eric Masters. Eric built this business from the ground up; he designed every aspect of it from the database software to the placement of the telephones on the shipping agents’ desks.
There is nothing about the shipping business that Eric Masters doesn’t know. If ever there were an ‘expert’ in this field, Eric is that master.
Eric is not only the freight and shipping master of the universe, he is also a really intelligent and humorous and kind man who isn’t above crawling under a desk to install a new electrical outlet for the receptionist, and who, on a daily basis, supports and encourages everyone in his employ.
He is thoughtful, and easy to work for. He genuinely cares about his employees, and goes out of his way daily to show them that he appreciates them. We who work for him are crazy about him.
It’s not often, these days, that the head of a big business actually knows all that much about the business, but Freight & Shipping, Inc. IS Eric Masters’ business; he dreamed it, he created it, and he has made it a complete and rousing success. He does this by making the customers the number one priority of this business, and by hiring employees who agree with that philosophy. Any customer who goes through Freight & Shipping, Inc. will also be crazy about Eric Masters and his business.
Eric Masters also understands that a good business is an honest business, and an honest business is not afraid to communicate almost every aspect of that business to its customers. That is why Freight & Shipping, Inc. has a business blog, and this blog is updated every single weekday. A website is essential to any business these days, but a business with a BLOG. . . . that tells the customers that this particular business keeps up with things, and is eager to communicate those updates with its customers. A business with a blog has no secrets. A business with a blog is proud to share ‘what’s going on’ with its customers. Eric Masters was one of the very first businessmen to understand that concept, and that has made him even more of a success.
When you call Freight & Shipping, Inc. at 1-877-618-6058, a real person will answer the telephone. Eric Masters staffs his offices with real people, because when it comes to customer service, Eric knows that most people much prefer talking to a PERSON, not pushing buttons and dealing with robots.
Eric Masters understands what his customers hope to get, and what they want, and he knows how to combine those two and give his customers exactly what they need. Eric Masters is a perfect example of a businessman who knows how to use the internet exactly as it was meant to be used: as a tool to make our lives easier and more productive.
If you have freight and wish to ship it, let Eric Masters’ business do it for you. Contact Freight & Shipping, Inc., and we will take good care of you, and of your freight.
